Our Sustainability Story

At Wyndham Destinations, we understand that our business activities impact the earth, our resources, and the lives of others. That's why we work hard to conserve resources, preserve natural habitats, and prevent pollution. We invest heavily in sustainable programs and initiatives that provide economic and environmental benefits. Our mission goes beyond building a few green programs. Our mission is to promote a more sustainable way of living and working that's based on our Company's vision and values.

We will work globally and act locally by:

  • Developing environmental programs, products and services
  • Setting environmental impact targets and measuring performance of green programs
  • Working with our associates, suppliers, owners and local communities to minimize our environmental impact
  • Complying with climate policies and environmental laws

Through our various Wyndham Destinations sustainability programs, our main areas of focus include:

  • Educate, influence and provide value to internal and external stakeholders
  • Reduce energy and water consumption and track performance
  • Recycle and increase waste diverted from landfills
  • Improve air quality
  • Minimize waste by recycling and reusing materials
  • Use green innovation techniques to develop new programs, products and services that promote sustainability
  • Participate in local community programs that contribute to the wellness of our environment
  • Implement sustainable procurement practices
  • Global Cage-Free Commitment – As part of our Social Responsibility program, we take steps every day to minimize the impact our operations have on the world around us. While we have a very limited food and beverage program, we remain committed to developing and implementing sustainable food and beverage initiatives. In support of this commitment, all Wyndham Destinations North America resorts will source cage-free eggs and egg products by 2020 and we will source 100 percent of eggs and egg products from cage-free or free range chickens by 2025 across our global portfolio. We also commit to publicly reporting on progress annually and translating this policy into key native languages.
