Intern, Tax Accounting

What you’ll do

Wyndham Destinations seeks a "Wyntern" to support our Tax Accounting team in Orlando, Florida. This position will have responsibility to assist with a variety of tasks to provide support and coordination of the Tax Department. Supports all tax related activities and compiles various tax filing documentation/work papers for federal, state and local tax filings and audits. Prepares journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with special projects as required.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Assist with Income Tax – Federal and State Tax work papers
  • Assist with recurring sales and use tax, lodging tax, GST/PST/HST and gross receipts tax returns
  • Assist with gathering audit information as requested by respective auditors
  • Assist with ad hoc Projects – Account reconciliations, Reverse audits (For example: Canada ITC projects)  

Other Projects Include:
  • A Team project
  • Lunch & Learns, Q & A sessions and roundtable meetings with Senior Leadership
  • Mentorship Opportunities



  • Internships are available for students who are currently enrolled in a  Master's degree program in Tax Accounting.
  • Internships are also available to students who graduated December 2018.

Skills & Experience:

  • Having taken an accounting and/or a tax class 
  • Proficient Knowledge in Excel; Access a plus
  • Working Knowledge of ERP systems such as PeopleSoft and Oracle preferred
