About The Role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for ensuring an efficient and high quality Housekeeping service is provided to guests.

Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ordering and distribution of linen, cleaning chemicals and guest supplies
  • Ensure the smooth day to day operation of the Housekeeping department
  • Clean apartments as required
  • Ensure all equipment is in operation and well maintained
  • Investigate and report on guest complaints relating to cleanliness
  • Evaluate, correct, disciple and motivate staff
  • Manage the operational budget, and ensure it is strictly controlled


Skills & Experience

  • Previous supervisory experience in a hotel or resort housekeeping environment
  • Thorough understanding of OH&S including chemical handling
  • Previous experience managing quality control and inventory control
  • Able to work within a flexible roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Comfortable handling goods and materials up to 10kgs
  • Exceptional communications skills, both verbal and written
